My name is Jenna Lewis. I am currently an art educator at Horizon High School in Thornton, Colorado. I teach grades 9-12 Drawing and Painting courses. I graduated with two degrees from Colorado State University: a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Art Education and a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Printmaking. I grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado with my parents and brother. Growing up, we traveled a lot which has influenced my college career and interests greatly. Since the age of three, I was a dancer. Dancing is still something I enjoy doing when I can find the time.
My favorite mediums to work with are printmaking and ceramics. I am intrigued by the traditional processes while the world of technology grows. My work is mostly abstract and uses nature as a reference, and the human impact on our world. Through my current teaching experience and the Art Education program at CSU, I have had the opportunity to learn a wide variety of different art mediums and to work with a great range of diverse people. I absolutely love what I do and look forward to continuing growing as an educator.
